The MoU aims to promote collaboration between FOF’s mission to advance the “One Health” approach and UN-Habitat’s efforts toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11, “Sustainable Cities and Communities.” Through this partnership, both parties will work together to pursue shared objectives.
Building on this agreement, FOF will collaborate with UN-Habitat to foster cross-sector partnerships and implement the One Health approach with the goal of passing on a safe and secure living environment to the next generation of children.

【Comment from Dr. Kurauchi, President of FOF, regarding the conclusion of the MoU】
One Health is an effective approach for preparing for future infectious diseases and global environmental crises, and it is an indispensable philosophy for passing on a healthy and safe planet to future generations.
Moreover, the initiatives led by UN-Habitat—protecting people’s healthy lives, addressing environmental issues such as climate change, and promoting sustainable urban development—are deeply connected to the One Health approach.
Building on the conclusion of this MoU, we aim to further strengthen our collaboration and take action in all areas to ensure that we can pass on a safe and secure living environment and a sustainable planet to the children of the next generation.
